Get To Know This Innovative Plastic Surgeon Bringing a West Coast Aesthetic to the QC

Whether you’re thinking about doing just a little something, or you are ready to change your look to better represent how you feel, knowing there is an expert in Charlotte to walk you through the options and innovations in plastic surgery starts with peace of mind.

World-class standards recently landed in Charlotte by way of the west coast with Dr. Joel Beck.

Back in 2019, one of the industry’s preeminent plastic surgeons, Dr. Beck, unpacked his bag of unparalleled skills and settled in N.C. The office quickly outgrew the 1900 sq ft space, and he is now just two months away from moving into a 10,000 sq ft state-of-the-art facility, the likes of which we really don’t have anything to compare to in the QC.

Why Charlotte?

“Charlotte is a growing market for medical aesthetics and plastic surgery,” Dr. Beck says, who practiced for 18 years in California before moving to North Carolina to be closer to family. “People move to Charlotte from all over the country and the city is changing in so many ways, we’re ready to be part of that change.”

The new office, Beck Aesthetic Surgery, will be American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities certified which ensures the plastic surgery center meets the highest standards for office-based operating room safety.

In addition, Dr. Beck is a board-certified plastic surgeon, meaning he is extensively trained in both facial and body procedures. Understanding how to prevent and handle emergencies that may arise during a procedure, is imperative in the medical field alongside technical skill and aesthetic judgment.

What’s so special about the new digs?

What you may not know is that medical space is currently somewhat limited in the south Charlotte area – so this new space – and such a large space to boot – is a welcome development not only for Dr. Beck and his team, but Charlotte over-all.

Construction is moving full steam ahead, with plans to open in January, 2024, “We are grateful for the growing number of patients seeking a truly personalized coaching-based approach to medical aesthetic care,” Dr. Beck says. “We are at the point now to meet our growing patients’ needs; we need more space and staff. It is the perfect opportunity to have a location that reflects our vision for aesthetic and regenerative medicine.”

The new building will also provide overnight accommodations, for procedures requiring overnight observation (think: ‘Brazilian Butt Lift’ and ‘Mommy Makeovers’). Once the team relocates to the new facility, they will have two 24-hour overnight rooms for post operative care and monitoring.

The new location, scheduled to open in January, 2024 is located at 11210 Golf Links Dr N., just outside I-485, and will occupy more than 10,000 sq ft on the first floor.

What’s everyone getting done?

Is not the question you should be asking – it’s what do you want to do for yourself? What could you do to feel one hundred percent confident and get your spark back?

So, how do you know when it’s time to take the first step?

Dr. Beck and his team have some really good and simple advice: When you think about an area of your face or your body almost every day and it really bothers you physically and mentally, then it’s time for a consultation.  If the area bothers you only a few times a year, you might not quite be ready for surgery, and there are also non-surgical options (laser injectables etc.)

Heather Rypien, RN, BSN, CANS is a highly skilled injector on the team. Injectables are quick, convenient, and offer immediate results to common concerns such as fine lines, wrinkles, and volume loss.

Or, if you have a special event coming up, a wedding, class reunion, special trip or maybe you just finally have some time to focus on yourself then it’s also a good time to schedule a consultation. You want to give yourself enough time for recovery and healing and for you to see your final results.

Part of Dr. Beck’s patient-centered care approach is that you will not feel rushed; he offers both virtual and in-person consultations, with plenty of time scheduled so you will have all your questions answered, most consultations are complimentary.

Dr. Beck and his team are dedicated to understanding each patient’s unique goals, concerns, and desires. The experienced team prioritizes open and honest communication to tailor treatments and procedures to meet individual needs.

Due to the many advances in aesthetic surgery; Dr. Beck discusses the various options and you will have the opportunity to look at images of other patients. You can also see results of the procedure you’re considering by visiting beckaestheticsurgery.com

How does a west coast aesthetic play in Charlotte?

Dr. Beck brings a philosophy that focuses on natural enhancement that are both subtle and harmonious. Your unique features are a priority, and your self-confidence and emotional and overall well-being are intrinsically tied to one’s physical appearance.

For example, Dr. Beck is well-known in the industry for his mastery of the Injectable Tissue Replacement (ITR) technique. The regenerative fat transfer process uses the patient’s own fat cells as a source of regenerative cells which are injected into the face (fat tissue holds powerful healing properties and regenerative cells for rejuvenation).

Dr. Beck’s extensive training under the guidance of Steven Cohen, the developer of ITR pioneering techniques, underscores his unwavering commitment to delivering the utmost in cutting-edge care. This mentorship ensures that Dr. Beck remains well-versed in the latest advancements and techniques, solidifying his status as an exceptionally well-qualified board-certified plastic surgeon.

“Patients’ regenerative cells can be harvested and processed for several uses within our expanded operating and procedure rooms,” Beck says. “They can be incorporated during a surgical procedure like a face lift and injected and microneedled into the skin.”

In contrast to temporary fillers, regenerative fat grafting delivers enduring results. The transplanted fat integrates seamlessly with the existing facial tissues, resulting in outcomes that last and also reduce the need for frequent maintenance.
