Owner Erica Fenlon fell in love with indoor cycling in NYC in 2008. In 2014, she left her investment banking career at Morgan Stanley in Manhattan, moved to Charlotte to be closer to family and teamed up with friends and family to create CYCLESOUTH.
CycleSouth is Uptown’s first boutique indoor cycling studio, located in the Transamerica building, one block north of Discovery Place. It’s a 5 minute walk from Trade & Tryon with easy parking in their building. The parking garage can be accessed from either 7th Street or 8th Street, and CycleSouth offers validated parking.
They offer high-energy, FUN and uplifting cycling classes. Who doesn’t have a little stress to sweat out? Classes are for everyone. Really. All fitness levels welcome. They ride to the beat of the music – it’s fast, it’s slow, you’re up, you’re down and it’s often a music showdown between 2 artists. It all happens in a dimly-lit studio, where motivating instructors help you get lost in the music, dig deep, push boundaries and leave the studio feeling emotionally and physically lighter. CycleSouth believes nothing feels better than STRONG.
The studio is equipped with showers, toiletries and towels to help you get ready for the workday. They also offer cycling shoes to borrow at no cost and complimentary locks for your locker.
