Summer Of Tomatoes At Zepeddie’s Pizzeria

Tomato season has officially arrived, and Zepeddie’s Pizzeria is turning it into an entire summer celebration! Zepeddie’s is launching its annual “Summer of Tomatoes,” featuring fresh, local, organic heirloom tomatoes across the menu now through mid-September, and back by popular demand, the Garden BBLT:  Basil, Bacon, Lettuce & Tomato.

Drink Pink 2026 Is Happening Now!

May 22, 2026 - June 30, 2026

Drink Pink, presented by Accent Homes Carolinas, is Madelyn’s Fund’s annual summer campaign supporting local NICU families and those experiencing infant loss. From May 22 through June 30, participating restaurants, bars, breweries, and coffee shops across Charlotte and the surrounding areas will feature specialty pink drinks with a portion of proceeds benefiting Madelyn’s Fund.

Stay cool with summer school

This summer The Independent Picture House and UNC Charlotte’s CHESS are bringing back CHILL at IPH — a series of short, engaging workshops led by expert faculty designed to spark ideas and creativity. There are ten CHILL workshops this summer, diving into a whole host of topics ranging from Barbie to AI to Wes Anderson to Jesus. Workshops are 10am to noon, starting June 1. Spots are limited. Register now.

JUNETEENTH Celebration in Plaza

Each year, The Juneteenth Festival of The Carolinas celebrates the end of slavery, and the African American community is taking the opportunity to come together to reflect on and remember the historical event. Expect drum circles, speakers, gospel music and continuous live entertainment for all ages.

Front Porch

July 4, 2026

Front Porch, one of Charlotte’s most beloved monthly markets, continues its first season in FreeMoreWest on the first Saturday of every month through December from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., with the next market being Saturday, July 4. Founded in 2015, Front Porch draws thousands of attendees each month while spotlighting local makers, artists, food vendors and small businesses from across the city.

Celebrating its 18th year, the Charlotte Film Festival 2026 returns September 22–27, 2026 at the Independent Picture House. The festival showcases the best in independent cinema, bringing together filmmakers and audiences to experience innovative storytelling from across the globe. From narrative features and documentaries to animated shorts and student films, attendees can discover a diverse range of voices, perspectives, and creative visions. Many screenings feature filmmaker Q&As, panel discussions, and opportunities for meaningful engagement with the artists behind the work.
