For months, we have been hearing warnings about the spread of COVID-19 growing worse with the increased indoor activity of winter. We are now officially in the throes of the latest surge. While there is great news about vaccine options in the near future, we need to continue to do all that we can until then to minimize spread and infection. We know this includes washing your hands, social distancing, and, of course, wearing a mask.

Regularly (and correctly) wearing a mask around others who are not part of your household is so important, as it provides a barrier for any respiratory droplets that may leave your mouth and/or nose when talking, coughing or sneezing. Since COVID-19 is also spread by those who are asymptomatic, masks work to protect both the wearer and those around them, preventing germs from coming in and going out.

With December being month ten of the pandemic, we’ve all had to get used to wearing a mask. But we wondered if there’s anything else we could be doing to make it more comfortable.
