NEW & NOTEWORTHY

Southern Sugar Cafe closing until August 20 and will reopen with dinner service

Fort Mill’s Southern Sugar Cafe is trading in the bakery for a full-service dinner menu. They’ll be closed August 11 – 20 to prepare for the new changes, and will reopen to offer dinner Monday – Saturday starting at 5 p.m. Expect menu items including bison, duck, gumbo and steak.

They’ll also start offering Sunday brunch on August 25 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Tiff’s Treats – Opening August 24

Tiff’s Treats, a bakery focusing on baked-to-order cookies, will celebrate its grand opening in Waverly on August 24 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Meet special guests Andy Roddick & Brooklyn Decker from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. The day benefits Mecklenburg County Special Olympics.

Hawthorne’s NY Pizza & Bar relocating to the Village at Robinson Farm

The favorite for pizza and pasta is moving to a new spot at the Village at Robinson Farm where they’re expected to double seating capacity. It’s expected to open by late August.

Foxcroft Wine Co. Coming to Waverly

Foxcroft Wine Co. will open their third Charlotte-area location in south Charlotte’s popular Waverly development. Find them soon at 7416 Waverly Walk Avenue Suite H-1.

Bistro Brunch Buffet Returns
Sundays | Bistro D’Antonio, Waxhaw

Bistro D’Antonio now offers a brunch buffet Sundays from 10 a.m. -2 p.m. Expect $5 bloody Mary’s and mimosas and a menu that includes a waffle of the day, fried french toast, assorted pastries and other brunch fare.

Summer Wine Walk Series
August 15 | Blakeney Shopping Centers | 5 – 8 p.m.

As part of Blakeney’s Summer Concert Series, attendees 21 and up can take part in a Summer Wine Walk to sip, shop and stroll through select Blakeney retailers while sampling wine and enjoying exclusive sales and promotions. Admission is a $25 donation to Ace & TJ’s Grin Kids.

Wine Dinner at OGGI

Head to Rea Park’s video wall to catch Paw Patrol at this month’s Cartoons and Coffee. They’ll even have a meet-and-greet with characters from the show where the first parents in line will receive a Starbucks gift card.
