Our Picks for the Best Nail Colors for Spring 2017

Spring is here and that means it is mani/pedi time.  If you have been slacking on your nail upkeep now is the time to step up your game.  After all, don’t you just feel better when you are perfectly manicured?  I know I do.  Last week I took my three year old to the nail salon for the first time and it was such a sweet bonding time.  She could not believe the hundreds of different colors of nail polish.  It was like I opened the door to paradise for her.  Speaking of color, spring is full of gorgeous colors.  From buttery yellow to a creamy soft lavender there is something for everyone this season.  And don’t forget about the unlimited amount of types of manicures that are available.  You can go lacquered, you can go marbleized, or even get a reverse french; the combinations are truly unlimited.  We will leave those for another day and for now lets talk color.

Essie’s B’aha Moment spring collection is inspired by sun-filled beach days and spectacular sunsets shared with some best friends.  The collection is fun and frivolous and is meant to make you step out of your comfort zone by trying something new.  Let your heart soar and go wild and free with your color selections.  I must say I am a fan of the entire collection.  ‘On the Roadie’ the green polish, may be the only one I’m not quite sure of for my fingernails but I would totally try in on my toes.  After all they are saying green is the color of the season.

The Fiji Collection by OPI is inspired by the beautiful colors of Fiji.  The rich shades of blue perfectly replicate the tranquil beach waters and the oranges, pinks and yellows combine for breathtaking sunsets.  Let this collection whisk you away to your dream vacation.  ‘Suzi without a Paddle,’ the sea foam blue, is next on my list for my pedi.  I may even spice it up a bit and do an ombre effect and try all the blues together.  I mean, who wouldn’t want their toes to look like the tranquil water?

Deborah Lippmann nail polish has always been one of my favorites.  Lippmann polishes do not contain any Toluene or Formaldehyde and still stay fabulously put on your nails.  So if you are looking for something on the more natural side, this is your polish.  Deborah’s Message in a Bottle spring collection is coastal classics like seashells, linen and driftwood.  They are sand washed, weathered and subdued natural colors with a modern interpretation of nautical.  I just may have to treat myself to this entire collection!

Butter LONDON has done a collaboration with Pantone {the influential global color authority} and created the Pantone collection and it is spot on.  Inspired by ‘Greenery,’ pantone 15-0343, they have created oh-so-alive color that celebrates the essence of natural beauty.  The colors are luxurious and fiercely feminine.  This is one polish I have not tried and now I super intrigued by trying the color of the year ‘Greenery.’

Hopefully, I have inspired you a little to get out your wild side and try some new colors on those fingers and toes.  Have fun and embrace the season of travel, sun and beautiful array of color.
