Is there life after Lululemon?

With the recent opening of Athleta at Southpark giving popular brand Lululemon a run for their money, we got to wondering what other fitness apparel options were available to help us mix up our yoga/spin/barre/run gear. We talked to some local fitness experts at HILLIARD STUDIO METHOD, FLYWHEEL CHARLOTTE and CAROLINA BARRE & CORE to hear which brands they’re loving right now and discovered a plethora of options.

Jennifer Shelton, an instructor with Hilliard Studio Method, is loving all the new items from Athleta while Allison Hickman lives in the HSM tanks while she is teaching at the studio. Hilliard has new midnight blue tanks coming in this week as well as a new long sleeve HSM tee and tunic for fall.

You’ll often find both Liz and Clary Hilliard sporting fashion-forward UK brand Lucas Hugh (available locally at Poole Shop) around the studio.

Amity Whalen, a barre instructor at Carolina Barre & Core, can frequently be found in Kira Grace Warrior leggings while pulsing it out. You can purchase tons of options from Kira Grace at Carolina Barre & Core.

The gals at FlyWheel Charlotte are gearing up for the upcoming Flywheel Challenge with these new products from their private label collection for fall.

And while searching for workout wear options, we discovered Stella McCartney has designed a fashionable line of custom activewear for Adidas to help stand out at the gym and beyond.
