With all of the free time that summer provides, planning a friends & family outing and finding adventures to cure the boredom is essential. Living in the Piedmont, we have access to many great farms that allow customers to pick their own fruit and veggies. Before you pack up and go, there are several guidelines you should remember: 1. Always call first because weather and availability are huge factors and subject to change. 2. Make sure to ask if take-home containers are provided and take a cooler for long drives. 3. Be respectful of operating days and hours as some of these farms are family-owned 4. Try to pick early in the morning or evening. 5. Take water, a hat, sunscreen and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.
