We’ve had quite the rendezvous. It’s only been six weeks but I’m calling for a break. We’ve had great times together, some better and some worse, but it’s simply time for us to see others.

Don’t think I’m leaving you behind forever. Or that I’ve found someone new. I’m just not the kind of girl with the “in a relationship” status on Facebook. I’m not a commitment kind of gal. Don’t get me wrong, seeing you four times a week has been great for my physical health.   But I’ve just go to tone it down a bit, get a little space, and see you less often.  Really, I promise, it’s not you, it’s me.

I’m not breaking up with Flybarre … just the Challenge. The six weeks is over and surprisingly, it happened to fly by (no pun intended). I’ve seen my arms and abs improve significantly, and I feel much more physically fit overall. The best part of the challenge is the fact that it pushed me to form a habit and a regimen. Working out has always been something that goes in and out of my life. Sometimes, I’m a workout fiend, and other times the closest I get to raising my heart rate is walking up and down the stairs in my apartment. After the Flybarre challenge, I am back on track and in love with working out once again. I feel much happier emotionally and have definitely reaped some physical benefits from it, too. Flybarre simply works. It’s clear from the muscle shaking and sweating that the workout is different from others. While it’s always changing and consistently challenging, it’s working to target the trouble areas that most women face: abs, arms, butts, and thighs.

Today is the final day. Headed to the studio soon and trading weights in for a champagne toast. So, it’s not goodbye, Flybarre. It’s just “see you soon.” And not four times a week, but maybe two.

Love,
Lauren
