This new designer consignment boutique is changing the way Charlotte gets dressed

by Brianna Crane | February 6, 2026

If you don’t know Maria Lumb yet, she’s about to become your favorite person. She’s the owner of Eternal, a new upscale consignment shop off Kings Drive.

  • She’s only been in Charlotte for about six months, but she gets us.

Backstory: She’s worked in fashion for over a decade at companies like The Real Real, Frame, Isabel Marant and Miu Miu.

  • Even in working with celebrity clients, Maria noticed a common problem. People shop plenty but never have anything to wear.
  • When the rush from a good find fades, we’re all left standing in front of our closets, uncomfortable in our bodies and totally unsure of how to get dressed.

Not anymore! Maria created Eternal to fix that problem. It’s an upscale consignment shop, with a personal styling component.

  • Both in-store and on Instagram, Maria styles Eternal’s inventory as a complete outfit. It’s not about convincing someone to buy the entire look, she says. It’s about showing clients how to wear what they do buy—or already have at home.
  • You can book one-on-one styling services, too.

Early observations: Charlotte women are busy with parenting and real life, but they also have killer collections sourced from all over the world. They’re ready to elevate the every day, Maria told me.

  • “Charlotte is evolving. To be part of the shift, women showing up authentically in their own bodies, is amazing.”
