At J. Major’s Bridal Boutique in South End Charlotte, you will find a carefully curated selection of reasonably priced gowns by popular and coveted designers, along with inclusive sizing and a stress-free, personalized approach to
bridal shopping. With over 200 styles in store, you’ll have the freedom to explore at your own pace, while also receiving expert guidance from your dedicated bridal consultant. And with at least one of the owners on-site every day, you’ll always be greeted with genuine care and attention.

The dresses in-store are available in sizes 6 to 28, with special order sizes ranging from 0 to 32.

From the moment you walk through the door, you can see that while J. Major’s Bridal
Boutique is built on a history of heartfelt connection with Charlotte brides, the store has a modern outlook that suits today’s woman. The vibe is elegant AND approachable, blending the best traditions of a luxury bridal salon with an ease and comfort that take the stress out of gown shopping. There’s nothing stuffy about shopping here.
While appointments are highly recommended, same-day and walk-ins are accepted when possible, and your appointment can usually be arranged with a week or two notice. You can bring up to 4 guests in a standard appointment, and accommodation can be made for larger parties with advance notice. You can even takeover the store for a private party called The Major Experience.
The location is very convenient, with free parking (3 hours with validation) on South Blvd. in South End. It’s in the heart of what we scoop-girls think of as easy South End, right off East Blvd., with the door to the store right on South and the parking garage right next door.

INARA: I don’t even know where to start! Walking through the door, I did not expect such a BEAUTIFUL and polished but warm space. The owners, Maddison and Ravi, truly love what they do and it shows in the detail they put into every aspect of my appointment. KATE: Had the best time shopping for my dress!! I went by myself and Kelcie and Madison made it so fun. Parking was easy there’s a deck right next door and they validate. When I arrived they had a cute welcome sign with my name and wedding date. They had already pulled the dresses that I mentioned in my pre-survey when I got there and we also walked around to look at others that were the style I was looking for. The dress selection was great they had a lot of options I loved that were in my budget. Stylist was very knowledgeable, I mentioned aspects of the dresses I was trying that I liked and based on my comments Kelcie pulled the dress that ended up being my dress! Great experience highly recommend this bridal boutique.
AMY: J Major’s was my first big wedding dress shopping trip with my MOH and one of my bridesmaids and they were so wonderful it was also my last! I was looking for a dress that was classic and elegant. The husband and wife team that own the store carefully reviewed my appointment notes and were prepared with a curated selection of gowns at my arrival. I scheduled two appointments on my dress shopping day and did enjoy both shops, but really loved the boutique feel and attentiveness of J. Major’s. I didn’t buy my dress the first day but never felt pressured by the staff. I went back to the shop a second time and got the full appointment time to reconsider and find my dress!
