We love having fresh flowers in our house, and apparently, we’re smart to do so 🙂
Research suggests that having fresh flowers in your home can improve mental well-being, reduce stress, and even boost feelings of compassion. A simple bouquet or vase in a room you spend the most time in (and hey, if that’s your closet, no judgement) can increase happiness, reduce anxiety, and contribute to your overall sense of well-being.

Grab a picking appointment here for U-pick and much more. McLawland Farms is a chemical-free, all natural farm specializing in U-pick farm experiences by appointment April-October. They grow flowers, blueberries, blackberries, & figs and host tours, events, & overnight stays. They’re passionate about creating important local agri-tourism and bringing chemical free blooms and fruits to the North Charlotte community.
Wise Acres Organic Farm

You can pick seasonal fruits like strawberries as well as flowers (peonies right now) at Wise Acres. Stay informed and reserve via their webpage. Weekend pizza/picking reservations will be opened each Tuesday at 5pm after they verify the weekend weather forecast.
They will also add last-minute picking weekday reservations Tuesday at 5pm as the plants allow so please check back. Reservations are required for all guests ages 3 and up. They include:
- Access to the u-pick strawberry and u-cut flower fields
- Unlimited fun in the shaded playground
- Animal visits
- Shaded picnic tables with barn access to slushies, treats & adult beverages and plants for sale
- Access to the next door GreenHouse for ice cream and Thai street food on Friday and Mexican on Sat & Sun
Rides will be available on weekends and during family evening weekday picking after 5:00pm:

Crowders Mountain Flower Farm is a charming family-owned flower farm nestled against the stunning backdrop of Crowders Mountain. Depending on the time of year, u-pick flowers are Dahlia, Zinnia, Celosia, Lisianthus, Scabiosa, Marigolds, Giant China Aster, Gomphrena, and Sunflowers.

- $25 Pitcher – Pick as many blooms as you can fit into our provide pitcher to use while picking your stems. Usually at least 30-40 stems can fit into it.
- $65 Bucket (when available)- This is a lot of stems, but if you’re up for the task, you will be awarded in many blooms to take home.
- $13 Kids Vase – This is a vase especially for kids, and they get to take it home full of flowers.
- $1 Dahlias – These flowers are priced separately and sold by the stem.

Located in Kernersville, Dewberry Farm is a private residence that you can reserve for weddings, receptions, and rehearsal dinners. On two special occasions, it is open to the public: Spring Tulips (finished) and Summer Sunflowers (late June & July). Both events are ticketed events, no walk in’s, tickets will be available online only when the event is going on so check their site frequently. This year they are planning:
- to add 4 different varieties of Lavender to u-pick flowers

Twin Creeks Lavendar Farm

If you’re heading to Greenville for a quick get-away weekend, don’t miss your chance to enjoy five acres of organically grown lavender open to the public for picking. This year they will offer six other varieties of lavender to choose from, including Grosso, French Provence, Violet Intrigue, Gros Bleu, Super Blue and Royal Velvet. Though some varieties are limited, you may pick as much as you like. Your cut bundles will be measured in $5, $10, or $15 increments and banded for you at checkout.
