Springs Farm

Driving Distance from Charlotte: About 25 Minutes

U-Pick Details: Strawberry picking beginning April 16th, 2025. Peach picking beginning early June 2025.
The Scoop: Delicious strawberries and homemade ice cream? Sign us up. Just 25 minutes away, you can pick fresh strawberries and check out Springs Farm’s fresh produce and veggies at the farm stand. Last but certainly not least, finish your day of fun with homemade strawberry (or any other flavor) ice cream or a hand spun milkshake.

The Hunter Farm

U-Pick Details: Hot off the press from the Hunter Farm ~ no strawberries this 2025 season at Hunter Farm, “In order to have the absolute best tasting strawberries in the area and to maintain the success of future crops we have to let our fields rest. So while we will not be having a strawberry crop this year, that only means our 2026 season will be amazing!”.
The Scoop: The farm will have its opening day on April 11, 2025 and although they may not be growing strawberries this season, there is still plenty of fun to go around. Go for a spin on the farm’s famous wagon rides to the barn and visit the animals, stop by the Market Barn for locally sourced jams, honey and farm fresh eggs as well as custom Hunter Farm goods and gifts, and end the day at the garden shoppe which is filled with locally grown flowers and veggie plants.
Lineberger’s Farm

U-Pick Details: Strawberry picking is open as of April 19th, 2025. Blackberry picking beginning in June, sunflower picking beginning in July, muscadine picking beginning in September and greens picking beginning in October.
The Scoop: With strawberry picking and a farm store, Lineberger’s Farm is all about fresh produce. Offering homegrown products and homemade baked goods, stop by the market store after your day of fun in the strawberry fields to end a great day on the farm.
Deer Run Farm

U-Pick Details: Strawberry picking begins 2nd week of April and lasts for about 8 weeks.
The Scoop: Just 30 minutes from Charlotte, come pick fresh strawberries at Deer Run Farm. With 7-acres of strawberry fields, this farm is a go-to spot for family-friendly fun and fresh, local produce. Check their socials before heading out for your day of fun.
Wise Acres Organic Farm

Driving Distance from Charlotte: About 35 Minutes

U-Pick Details: Strawberry picking opens April 19. Summer blueberry & sunflower season is June through early July.
The Scoop: Reservations are required to pick at Wise Acres Organic Farms, so don’t wait to reserve your strawberry picking time. Reservations can be made on the farm’s website here and includes U-Pick field access, wooded playgrounds, an animal area, shaded picnic tables, barn store access with local goods available for purchase, and barrel train rides/wagon rides available for an additional cost.
Carrigan Farms

Driving Distance from Charlotte: About 40 Minutes

U-Pick Details: Strawberry picking begins April 24, apple picking beginning in September, and pumpkin picking beginning in October. Fresh asparagus will be available starting in the beginning of April at our farm market.
The Scoop: Pick your own fresh fruits at Carrigan farms throughout the seasons and enjoy a swim in the quarry while you’re at it. The Carrigan Farms swimming quarry begins open swim in May and lasts through the summer, so there’s always something fun to do at the farm. Check their website for updates on when each activity opens.
Hall Family Farm

Driving Distance from Charlotte: About 40 Minutes

U-Pick Details: Strawberry picking begins in mid April with opening day on Saturday, 4/12 with limited or no strawberry picking.
The Scoop: Check the Hall Family Farm website and social media channels for daily updates about U-Pick strawberry conditions. After picking your berries, grab a meal at Hall’s Kitchen, or pick up some dessert from the bakery. The farm also has pigs, goats, chickens, a playground and hay rides.
Patterson Farm

Driving Distance from Charlotte: About 45 Minutes

U-Pick Details: Strawberry picking beginning in April. At the time of this post, strawberry picking has not yet started.
The Scoop: Admission to the Pick Your Own Field is required for everyone ages 2 and up. Strawberries are not included in the cost of admission and are charged by container size. It is recommended to reserve your picking containers online with your tickets, as strawberry inventory can be limited and add-ons the day of your visit are not guaranteed. Strawberries are not all the farm has to offer… enjoy homemade strawberry ice cream while you walk around the spring barn filled with farm animals. The Ivy Place Berry Farm

Driving Distance from Charlotte: About 45 Minutes

U-Pick Details: Strawberry picking is from April to May, blackberries and blueberries from June to July, and tomatoes from May to September. Cut your own flower bouquets beginning in late April. Pick your own greens are available as well with lettuce, spinach, arugula, parsley.
The Scoop: At the Ivy Place Berry Farm, you can pick a variety of fruits, vegetables, flowers, and seasonings. The farm anticipates pre-picked strawberries at the farm stand starting April 10th ish with hours being open everyday 9 to 5pm plus Wed- 9am to 7:30pm. Bush-N-Vine Farm

The Scoop: Black’s Peaches offers seasonal picking as well as as full lunch menu and bakery with fresh pies and cakes made to order. Pick some strawberries, take a hayride, and enjoy some vanilla ice cream all at Black’s Peaches Farm. Cotton Hills Farm

U-Pick Details: Strawberry picking is opening mid April 2025. Greens picking (broccoli, lettuce, and cauliflower) beginning in early May. Peaches picking begins in mid June and runs through mid July.
The Scoop: With an abundance of U-Pick produce as well as a garden patch of crops to choose from, Cotton Hills Farm is a surefire way to get our fruits and veggies in for the warmer months. Due to the large variety of produce, make sure to check their Facebook or website for an updated status on the current crops.
