You know guacamole of course, and there have been countless versions of avocado toast on Instagram and pinterest recently.  

Here’s our favorite “ways to make avocado toast” recipe link from Kitchn.com. But there are actually many ways to eat avocado that you might not have considered.

For instance, avocado is the key to making the creamiest smoothies.  It sounds a little weird, but once you’ve added avocado to your smoothie, you’ll never want to make another one without it.  You’ll also be getting a good dose of healthy fat, so your belly will feel satisfied for awhile- which is good news if you drink smoothies as a meal replacement.

Banana Mango Avocado Smoothie

(makes 1 serving)

1/2 cup unsweetened coconut milk

1/2 cup coconut water

1 frozen banana

1/2 cup frozen mango

1/2 avocado (large)

1 Tablespoon chia seeds

Honey or stevia, to taste (optional)
Add all ingredients to your blender and blend on high until smooth.  Drink cold and enjoy!
