Mary, Abode

Design Cred: Mary has a BA degree in Art History and Design from Hollins College, and design education from Parsons, The New School, and the New York School of Design. Mary worked with Suzie Frankfurt Interiors in New York, Sotheby’s, Tom Lee Ltd., and Dean Patterson Bauer before establishing Mary Tobias Interiors. Her full service interior design studio operates out of the  bode showroom, featuring transitional and vintage home furnishings and accessories.

Specialty Aesthetic: Timeless with a modern edge, using clean contemporary lines to update traditional homes, incorporating trends in small doses, light and airy, fresh.

Favorite Recent Trend: “I think you’re getting ready to see lots of changes, like flowers, but new updated florals with fresh colorways…Gold and brass accents instead of silver. I think you’ll see lots of architectural fragments and accessories on modern coffee tables and bookshelves.”
