Here’s a look at the shows coming to Charlotte next season:

Nov. 3-8: Dirty Dancing

Get ready to have the time of your life. Based on the iconic film, this new stage production brings Baby and Johnny back to life with all the romance, dancing, and music fans know and love.

  • Fun fact: The production features live music from the original film soundtrack.

Feb. 9-14: Death Becomes Her

The campy cult-classic film gets the Broadway treatment in this Tony Award-winning musical comedy about eternal youth and a secret potion that’s to die for. Expect sharp comedy, glamorous costumes and plenty of chaos.

March 16-28: Oh, Mary!

One of Broadway’s biggest breakout hits is coming to Charlotte. This 80-minute one-act play is a dark comedy that reimagines Mary Todd Lincoln in the weeks leading up to Abraham Lincoln’s assassination.

  • The play was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, and critics have called it one of the best comedies in years.

April 20-May 2: Peter Pan Goes Wrong

The team behind The Play That Goes Wrong brings their signature chaos to Peter Pan, as “The Cornley Drama Society” journeys to Neverland. Expect technical difficulties, flying disasters, cast feuds, and plenty of perfectly timed comedic catastrophes.

June 15-20: Buena Vista Social Club

This Tony and GRAMMY-winning musical follows the story of Omara Portuondo, an allusive diva whose legendary music was celebrated all over Cuba. A tale of big dreams, second chances, and music that needs no translation, this story will transport you straight to the heart of Havana.

July 7-18: Phantom of the Opera

The Phantom returns to Charlotte in a revitalized new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s legendary musical. One of the most spectacular productions in history, The Phantom of the Opera has played to over 160 million people in 52 territories and 217 cities in 21 languages.

Aug. 10-15: Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

The wizarding world arrives in Charlotte with Broadway’s spellbinding theatrical phenomenon. It’s a “marvel of imagination” (The New York Times) that will “leave you wondering ‘how’d they do that?’ for days to come” (People Magazine).

Sept. 7-12: Beauty and the Beast

Disney’s beloved musical returns to the stage in a newly reimagined production with updated sets, costumes and all the iconic songs.

  • This is Disney’s first North American touring production of the show in more than 25 years.
