New Concepts
Leluia Hall – Dilworth

The wait for Leluia Hall is almost over! Coming soon to the former Bonterra spot, the duo behind Supperland will open a new concept in Dilworth.
“I’m most excited for Leluia Hall in Dilworth to open because who doesn’t love a surf and turf restaurant but, this one in particular is guaranteed to be a hit because it’s from the Tonidandel-Brown Restaurant Group — who are also known as the owners of Haberdish, Ever Andalo, Growlers Pourhouse, Reigning Doughnuts, and Supperland! In my experience, all of their restaurants consistently serve high quality food and drinks and provide superior service so, I expect nothing less for Leluia Hall. The current building Leluia Hall is in was built as a church in 1915 and you can follow the construction of the renovation on their Instagram account: @leluiahall which only further builds the anticipation! I cannot wait to see the full transformation of the space!“
– Charmaine from @feisty.eats
“I’m getting super pumped for Leluia Hall, opening in 2024 under the ownership of power couple Jeff Tonidandel and Jamie Brown of @haberdish, @supper.land, and @ever_andalo fame. If you ever visited the Dilworth location’s previous tenant Bonterra, you will know that this former church is a gorgeous space for a restaurant à la Supperland, and it has been undergoing major renovations over the last year so I can’t wait to see the finished product! Expect surf&turf with a robust raw bar guided by the practiced hand of @chefmoe.ron, a wine list curated by @spacecowboy2071, and a baller cocktail program from the talented @ch.cocktails. Take me to church!”
“Another year, another historic church flipped restaurant journey for Jeff Tonidandel and Jamie Brown. They are among my short list of favorite restauranteurs in Charlotte and I’m beyond excited to see what they create with their newest concept, Leluiah Hall!”
– Amy from @cltfoodgirl
Albertine – Uptown
A new fine dining concept from Joe and Katy Kindred.
“I am definitely most excited for Albertine restaurant coming to the queen city in 2024! From what I have read it sounds like it is going to be not only great food, but a high end experience. I’m excited to see how they do the menu. I have read it will be “Contemporary cuisine inspired by the greater Mediterranean basin and a dynamic, evolving American South.” I think Albertine will be a beautiful, elegant addition to Charlotte. Looking forward to it!”
– Ember from @fortmillfoodblog
Spaghett – Uptown

Chef Sam Hart of Counter is opening an Italian concept, Spaghett, in Fourth Ward.
“Over the years, CLTDesserts has met many talented chefs in the city—one of them being Chef Sam of Counter who has been inviting and warm with truly interesting concepts for taste in food that are beautifully plated and exciting with twists on desserts! I’m sure Spaghett will be just as surprising and memorable in the variety of offered “Italian” cuisine and hopefully some unique desserts for us sweet tooths!”
– Jeanna from @cltdesserts
“I love Italian food, so I couldn’t be more excited for Spaghett to open in the Fourth Ward area in 2024! Chef Sam Hart, who owns Counter- is behind the opening of Spaghett. Counter- is one of my all time favorite restaurants to visit in Charlotte for a special occasion, and I can’t wait to have a more lowkey spot from this chef to grab a bite at, too. Handmade pasta, affordable prices, and two bars all inside a historic Fourth Ward building? Sign me up!”
– Alex from @slicesandsushi
3rd & Fernwood – Metropolitan

“Chef Greg and Subrina have mastered the art of southern comfort food at Uptown Yolk and Leah & Louise! I can’t wait to see what the dynamic husband and wife duo comes up with next!”
– Angela from @charlottedatenight
MAS (Maiz Agua Sal) – West Charlotte
“I’m excited for MAS from the incredible Lincoln Street Team. It’s going to have skyline views, fresh tortillas and plenty of exciting drinks. But most importantly they’ll have some breakfast and I’m hoping that have REAL breakfast tacos available.”
– Andrea from @dailydreclt
Taco Boy – LoSo

Sweetgreen – Uptown

The popular salad chain will open its first North Carolina location in Uptown.
El Malo Tacos & Hermanita – Plaza Midwood
El Malo is bringing a traditional Tijuana-style restaurant to Plaza Midwood along with a speakeasy-style bar, Hermanita.
“Coming to the heart of Plaza Midwood, right on the corner of Central and The Plaza, is the next concept from the folks behind Taqueria Mal Pan. El Malo will be a street style taco shop inspired by the taquerias of Tijuana, Mexico and San Diego, CA. The menu will include tacos adobados (al pastor), birria tijuanense, Cali burritos, quesadillas, nachos and California style fries! Expect their in-house made heirloom corn and Sonoran-style flour tortillas, and Hermanita, which will be a full bar to include ice cold cheves (beer), caguamas, miches and fresh margs. Hermanita will be reminiscent of taverns that you find in the urban hubs of Mexico, with live music, sports on, and late night DJs. If you’ve been to Mal Pan, you should be excited, too! These folks understand the value that real ingredients bring to the table, that is why they take the time to make their own sauces, salsas, aiolis, bitters, fresh squeezed juices, and more. Plus, Ariel and Andre are solid humans!“
– Kasee from @spacekaseclt
“I’m counting down the days until the new Tijuana-style taco shop, El Malo and its sister bar, Hermanita located right next door opens in 2024! Andre Lomeli, is one of my favorite restaurant owners in Charlotte, and I know he will crush this new Mexican restaurant spot in Plaza Midwood! I’m excited to try the whole menu, but the Tijuana style birria tacos and California fries sound absolutely delicious!“
– Jessica from @thesweetseoul

According to Axios Charlotte, Chief’s will be located in a former 123-year-old mill home in NoDa, and will feature cocktails from Charlotte’s most famous mixologist Bob Peters.
Tipsy Pickle – Camp North End

“I am super excited for Tipsy Pickle to open!! It will have 6 pickleball courts, 3 bars, ping pong tables, shuffleboard, pool tables, golf simulators, cornhole, darts & they will serve Tex Mex food. I think this will be such a fun place to hang out with friends and to bring out of town visitors.”

Reopenings
Soul Gastrolounge – NoDa

“Soul Gastrolounge has always been dear to my heart (and stomach), I mourned when Plaza Midwood rents did them wrong, and I’m ecstatic for their 2024 #brickandmortar re-opening at The Pass in NoDa. I’m already dreaming of the Pork Belly Tacos, the Sashimi Tuna Tacos, and ANY of their flatbreads and you should be too.”
– Karen from @finer_with_thyme
