Now that it’s officially fall, it’s time to *carve* out some time to visit pumpkin patches and corn mazes in the Charlotte area! We’ve rounded up a list of our favorites in the area and included important info like hours, activities, and pricing. These farms offer a wide variety of activities and are a must-do activity with your family this fall.
Pumpkin Farms:
Hall Family Farm Lancaster, SC

Activities: Large corn maze, kids corn maze, pedal karts, playground, hay ride, slides, pumpkins, refreshments, animals
Admission: Free entry and reservations aren’t needed. Each activity requires a small fee ($2-$5) and pumpkins are extra. Fun pass is $10.
Dates: Sept. 22nd-Oct. 31st. Open Wed/Thurs: 11-6pm, Friday: 11am-10pm, Sat: 9am-10pm, Sun: 9am-6pm
Patterson Farm Mt. Ulla, NC

Activities: 40+ activities: hayride, playgrounds, slides, games, refreshments, feed animals, corn maze
Admission: $14-$17 online pricing and includes all activities. Reservations aren’t required but they recommend buying tickets online
Dates: Sept. 23rd-Nov.6th Mon-Fri: 12pm-5pm, Sat/Sun: 9am-5pm
Wise Acres Farm Indian Trail, NC

Activities: Playground and zip line, hayride, barrel train, pumpkin picking, corn crib, corn maze, farm animals, wood-fired pizza
Admission: Reservations are required. Tickets can include pizzas for $29 plus $3 pp or just $3 entry with no pizza. Wagon/train rides are an extra fee
Dates: Thursday – Sunday. Sept. 16th-Nov 5th. Oct.
The Hunter Farm, Weddington, NC

Activities: Take a wagon ride to their petting barn to feed their animals and see goats, horses, bunnies, pigs, and more. Pumpkins are available for purchase. They host regular “Farm Friday” events with live music and food trucks
Admission: Reservations are required for the wagon ride to petting zoo which is $10 per person
Dates: Sept. 22nd – Nov 5th, Tues-Fri: 2pm-7pm, Sat-Sun 9am-7pm. Closed Monday
The Union Exchange, Monroe, NC

Activities: New pumpkin patch, wagon rides, refreshments, ice cream, food truck, playground, bonfires/smores, live music on weekends
Admission: Free admission, reservations only needed for Wagon and cost is $5.34
Dates: Tues/Wed: 9am-6pm, Thur-Sat: 9am-9pm, Sun: 10am-6pm
Hodge’s Family Farm – NE CLT

Activities: Hay rides (only weekends), pumpkin patch, farm animals, hay mountain, refreshments
Admission: $5 weekend parking fee. Free admission
Dates: Sept. 23rd – Oct. 31st. Open Mon – Sun, 9am-5:30pm
Carrigan Farms – Mooresville, NC

Activities: Take a shuttle to the old fashion pumpkin patch and petting zoo. Refreshments on weekends. They also offer a haunted trail experience
Admission: Reservations are required. $15 pp age 2+ and includes a pumpkin and hayride.
Dates: Sept. 30th – October 31st
Cherry Place Farm – Rock Hill, SC

Activities: Corn maze, hayride, farm animals, free popcorn, pumpkin picking
Admission: Reservations aren’t required. Cost for entry is $10 per person
Dates: Weekends in October. Sat: 10am-6pm, Sun: 1-6pm
