As we have spent so much more time at home this spring and now summer, our home projects have been pushed to the forefront. Blank walls and dated pieces are on many to do lists to refresh and renew our spaces. Local art galleries and dealers are opening their studios and are ready to help you select the perfect piece for your style.
Established in 1998, Shain Gallery is one of Charlotte’s oldest contemporary art galleries! They are a women owned and operated gallery, featuring local to international artists. They specialize in a wide-variety of styles, from full abstract to hyper-realism. Open Mondays through Saturdays from 10am to 5pm, they are ready to help you find a piece you love.
Hodges Taylor is Charlotte’s longest-running gallery and consulting firm. As a contemporary gallery with a focus on promoting Southeastern artists in a range of mediums, they curate and present artists who share in common the power to spark curiosity, conversation, and collaboration. As an art consulting firm providing services to both corporate and individual collectors, they provide services and develop projects that integrate works of art into every aesthetic, environment, and concept. As they wrap up construction at their new South End location, they are open for virtual consultations and socially distant office visits.
