CrossFit 77 | EP Jenny Morris 5k Benefit

Lace up December 21 at 9:30am for a 5k honoring Jenny Morris, a member of CrossFit 77 that is battling Huntington’s. All proceeds will be donated with 3/4 going directly to Jenny and her daughter, Hannah, and the remaining 1/4 going to Huntington’s Disease Society of America.

The US National Whitewater Center isn’t done for the year yet…

It’s tough to want to be outside for any longer than the trip from your car to the front door this time of year, but the US National Whitewater Center has great reasons to bundle up and spend some time outdoors. By now you’ve probably heard they have an outdoor ice skating rink and festive trail decorated with fun and funky lights to get you in the spirit, but did you also know they’re not done with their popular races? The We Believe Santa 5k Trail Race and Dog Jog is December 14 and the brand new New Years Eve 5k/10k Trail Race is December 31 starting at 11:45pm.

Charlotte New Year’s Day 5k

At the finish line, participants and friends will enjoy food and drinks to celebrate their accomplishment and to ring in the new year. Registration includes a swag bag with a long sleeve runner’s shirt, headband, and other goodies. There’s also a $5 Fun Run for the kids that includes a train whistle. The race proceeds will benefit Camino Center Food Pantry, Hope Street Food Pantry, and Jamil Niner Student Pantry, which collectively serve hundreds in need in University City. Ride the LYNX to the starting line for free on race day!

Sculpthouse acquires HSM | CORE

HSM | Core is now SculptHouse . SculptHouse Charlotte will be closed for renovations and instructor training during the month of December and will reopen in January 2020. For now, you can buy pre-sale classes here. All valid HSM | Core packages will be converted with the original expiration date plus one month by 12/15 and your HSM | Core account should also be converted (if not, simply create a new one and choose Charlotte as your home studio).  The Hilliards maintain ownership of their flagship concept and sister studio, Hilliard Studio Method in Myers Park.
