You don’t have to have a ticket to watch the Novant Health Thanksgiving Day parade, since there’s general public (non-ticketed) seating along the non-reserved sections of Tryon Street available on a first come basis. But, the best views will be in the ticketed seats, which are in the two “front rows” of seats along the route and which are not obstructed by standing attendees. The best best seats are closest to the performance area, the designated section of the route right in front of the Duke Energy Building where the marchers and parade performers are sure to pause for their brief entertainment & routines.
Scoop’s Parade Day Tip?
Save time today by purchasing your VIP Ticketed seats now to avoid the crowds and have reserved seats waiting for you on Thanksgiving morning.
Since the parade starts at 9th & Tryon Streets at 9:00 am, and will march South on Tryon Street to Stonewall Street, a prime and comfortable seat is a sure way to guarantee you both enjoy and see all there is to see.
This year’s seats are broken into sections along Tryon Street ~ here’s a map of seat sections. You can see the seats closest to the Performance Area along with what’s going to be available along the route. These sell out first, so if you’re looking for the best possible way to kick off Turkey Day, we say reserve your seats today! Just click thru here.
You may purchase seats in any section you’d like; each section consists of two general admission rows. While your ticket does reserve you a seat in your section, there are no reserved seat #’s , so once you’ve bought seats in that particular section, you may sit in any available seat. The reserved ticket box office opens at 7:00 a.m. on parade day, and seats will be available then, so you can head over and choose your seats in your section any time after 7 am. (Just don’t forget to stop by the Box Office first, as you must scan your tickets at the box office on Thanksgiving morning).
If you want to save a bit on seats in sections E-I or N-R (between Levine Ave for the Arts and MLK Blvd), you can save an extra $5 when you buy now using scoop’s discount promo code.
