Rosa Parks Farmers Market

The Rosa Parks Farmers Market kicks off its third season. Shoppers can enjoy more food options, a bigger location, and better hours. Visit the market every Tuesday from June through September. Each market will include live cooking demonstrations from area chefs, community pop-ups, music, and kid-friendly activities.


Fire Starting 101

Wednesday, June 6, 6:30 p.m.

Learn a variety of ways to get a fire started under all sorts of conditions plus fire safety, and different firewood arrangements you can use to create the perfect campfire. Register prior to the event, and meet at the picnic tables by the Nature Center.


Pike Kids Series

A four-part summer series of interactive classes, kids will learn about the critters that are important to gardens. Complimentary light refreshments will be served. June 6: Birds, June 13: Worms, June 20: Seeds, June 27: Butterflies and Ladybugs. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Pre-registration required.

Open Quarry Swim at Carrigan Farms

Swim in the cool, deep water at Carrigan Farms Quarry. Ages 11 and under must wear a life jacket at all times in the water. Anyone 12 and older are eligible to take the swim test. Bring your rod and reel for catch-and-release fishing at the farm’s two ponds.
