Our Picks for Where to Enjoy Queens Feast Winter 2018.

Queens Feast
CARPE DIEM

Winter Charlotte Restaurant Week – aka Queens Feast – starts this Friday, January 19, and runs for 10 days through Sunday, January 28, 2018. This year’s Queens Feast is bigger than ever, spanning 9 counties and adding 12 new restaurants to their mix.

There are several ways to approach this fab semi-annual dining event, where over one hundred (134) higher end area restaurants offer fixed price menus at DINNER for only $30 or $35 per person. You can:

  • Try out restaurants that you’ve been wondering about at a lower than usual cost of entry
  • Look for restaurants in your neighborhood that are participating and check out their deals and menus
  • Search for the best meal deals with the most bang for your buck

Sea Bass at BAKU

We do all three, of course, since #ourjob #bestjobever. Where will we be reserving? Here are our Top Picks for Winter 2018 Queens Feast.

A tip about reserving via Open Table: Word is that many restaurants “release” reservations thru Open Table only for their slow times, i.e. before 6 pm and after 9 pm. SO, if you see a spot is booked between those hours day after day, do yourself a favor and call for your reservation.

VIVACE

LUMIERE in Myers Park
One of Charlotte’s two legit French restaurants IMO and a rare treat to enjoy at Restaurant Week pricing. Reservations for weekends already mostly booked, but weekday evenings still open. Plus gotta love a gougere for amuse bouche.

300 EAST in Dilworth $35
Picked because your Queens Feast Meal in this long-running neighborhood fave includes a glass of wine. Score.

FRAN’S in Dilworth $30
Picked for two reasons. The meatballs are in TWO spots to choose on their QF menu (starter AND main) and the bacon wrapped tater tots. Nuf said.

CARPE DIEM in Elizabeth $35
Always a favorite and one of the best date nights in town, especially if a rooftop bar is not your scene.

BISTRO LA BON in Plaza Midwood $35
Gluten Free and GF Optional and Vegetarian options in their menu, plus while we always think of it for brunch, it’s been a while since we had dinner there.

ARIA in Uptown $30
Picked for featuring a huge selection for the price in Uptown options

VIVACE in Midtown $35
Picked for their ample seating, valet parking and for stepping up with their entire menu included in your choices

CORKBUZZ in Southpark $35
Picked because, in addition to being a personal favorite, their wine list is one of the best in town, and their promotions around it are awesome deals. Their fairly new & delish menu is almost all included in their QF deal.

BAKU in Southpark $35
Picked for the price ~ it’s hard to dine at an upscale sushi restaurant for less than $50 pp,and Baku is offering 4 courses for their deal.

WP KITCHEN & BAR in Southpark $30
Picked because you can go before or after a movie (or sales shopping) and their array of choices for the $30 price is one of the best in Southpark.

WU’S CAJUN SEAFOOD in South End $35
This is the perfect Queens Feast pick, since you (and we) have been wondering what the menu is like and what the food is all about. Cajun Asian ~ Gumbo Ramen and Asian Cobb Salad? Yes, one to try.

AQUE E VINO in South Charlotte
Picked because this is a secret favorite of many, and it’s time you tried it. Plus, FOUR courses included in their QF menu.

ALTONS KITCHEN & COCKTAILS in Lake Norman $35
Always an LKN favorite, Alton’s adds 1/2 price bottles of wine ($75 and under) on Mondays and on Tuesdays – $4 draft beers.

PUMP HOUSE in Rock Hill $30
Picked because we have been meaning to check out this restaurant on the Catawba, which all our friends recommend, plus their menu of Restaurant Week options is generous.

HEIRLOOM in Mountain Island Lake $35
Been meaning to try this restaurant a short drive from here? Same. Check out the wide array of menu options they’re offering during Queens Feast ~ this is def the time.
