Get ready to laugh at the new standup comedy event at the lake. If you’re feeling brave, start crafting your jokes and take the stage for the Open Mic Contest for a chance to win $100. If you’re in it for the laughs, expect the open mic contest to be followed by various featured acts of the next few months before the next chance for standup hopefuls to take the mic. $5 per person.

Bring the whole family out to Robbins Park for a movie under the stars. Family fun including games and concessions kicks off the night at 7 p.m., and is followed by a free showing of The LEGO Batman Movie after dusk.

Summer workouts leaving you famished? Chef Matt will be at the Huntersville Grower’s Market to show you the right foods to replenish your body after a tough sweat session.
