Looking for a Unique Gift? Shop the Bechtler Museum Store for Things Both Local and Artful.

You may already know that Andreas Bechtler, founder of THE BECHTLER MUSEUM OF ART, dedicated his family’s collection of modern art to the City of Charlotte to introduce generations of Charlotteans to the power, inspiration and joy that modern art can offer, but did you know that his vision reaches all the way to the items sold in the museum’s gift shop? Bechtler still has a hand in selecting items for the store and has given the staff the task of curating a collection that draws from current exhibits and fosters an appreciation of modern art.

“Andreas Bechtler wanted the store to be an extension of our collection.” – Patty Stevens, Director of Finance, Bechtler Museum

The museum store carries a selection of local jewelry, books for children and adults, home decor items and of course art prints and supplies. Located on Tryon Street, just a few steps away from the Firebird, the Bechtler’s store is a great spot to pick up a gift with a local twist for friends and visitors. We’re about to enter the “season of giving” with Mother’s Day, Grad Gifts, Teacher Gifts, Wedding Presents, and Father’s Day all on the horizon. Try someplace new this year, the Bechtler Museum store, and get the value-add on ~ all purchases support the exhibitions and programs of the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art.
