Free Haircuts for Kids this August at Pinnacle Institute in Mooresville

Heading back to school each fall can be an expensive proposition. New clothes, new school supplies, new backpacks and lunch bags … it all adds up.
Since 2013, Pinnacle Institute of Cosmetology in Mooresville has offered the community a break. Each August, the institute offers free cuts for all children younger than 18.

Cuts are normally just $11, but for the entire month of August, they are entirely free.

“There is always a consultation with the stylist first,” said Julia White, student services coordinator. “And an instructor signs off on the service.” The cut includes a shampoo and blow-dry styling. Clients can add curling or flat iron styling after the blow dry for a small additional charge.

“Back-to-school is an exciting time, but also an expensive one,” said White. “We like to help defray those costs a little – and give students a great new cut to kick off a new year.”
Children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent.
You can make an appointment, but Pinnacle Institute of Cosmetology accepts walk-ins as well.
The institute is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Hours on Friday and Saturday are 9 until 4 p.m.
