The Young Affiliates of The Mint (aka the YAMS) Derby Days event is fast approaching ~ it’s on May 7th this year. Derby Days is the annual event where everyone strives to look dapper and darling…it’s said to be the QC’s “best party for young professionals” by both the Charlotte Observer and Society Charlotte. In simpler terms, it is a tidy version of the Kentucky Derby with an added southern twist (and without the live horses, and the infield ruining your heels). You can mix and mingle on the lawn of the Mint Randolph, while enjoying delicious food trucks, lawn games, live music, raffles, and free drinks. You don’t completely rid of the horses, because the event will include a two-minute screening of the Kentucky Derby on the big screen.
