The holidays are fast approaching and with them comes food, family and — unfortunately — stress.

Lucky for us, the folks over at Allergy Asthma & Immunology Relief (AAIR) offer free yoga classes on Friday afternoons to help get you back in a zen state of mind. Taught by yoga therapist Karen Williams, each class will provide a simple movement, breathing or mindfulness tip students can recreate at home.

To join in, wear appropriate clothing and bring a yoga mat and a blanket to 1523 Elizabeth Ave., Suite 200 at 1 p.m. each Friday.

According to AAIR’s website, people with allergies or breathing difficulties may benefit from better posture, increased lung capacity and the development of strategies to manage agitation and anxiety.

Not an experienced yogi? No worries. The class is suitable for individuals of all experience levels who are able to move comfortably from standing to the floor.
