She was constantly smiling, knew just the right things to say in any situation, and often made sure that some of her homemade chocolate chip cookies were there waiting when my sister and I got home from school.

While I am most certainly never going to be able to compete with the Donna Reed’s or June Cleaver’s of the world, I do want my children to recognize a good chocolate chip cookie when they have one, and these recipes certainly fit the bill.
