I grew up with a mother who was practically straight out of a 1950s television sitcom. She was constantly smiling, knew just the right things to say in any situation, and often made sure that some of her homemade chocolate chip cookies were there waiting when my sister and I got home from school.
While I am certainly never going to be able to compete with the Donna Reed’s or June Cleaver’s of the world, I do want my children to recognize a good chocolate chip cookie when they have one, and these recipes certainly fit the bill.
And just to put it out there, there’s no harm in making these all for yourself.
