Time for you to Meet Classic Attic Furniture Consignment Store.

So, pretty soon the secret on CLASSIC ATTIC Consignment store will be out.  If you like shopping brand name furniture, antiques and vintage at way, way below retail, you need to get over there asap, before the rest of Charlotte figures out this resource exists my friends.

When you get to Park Road Shopping Center (it’s easier if you come in from Westfield) turn right at Rocksalt and head to the “backlot.” You can see, things are happening there even as we speak. Head down toward the middle of the lot and find Classic Attic on your left, at 4301-C Park Road. Right before the Blackhawk Garden Center spills out into the parking lot. 🙂

 

 

You can’t miss it. And right when you walk in, you’ll find their outdoor and porch furniture and accessories.

 

If you are looking for nice furniture on consignment, mostly classic brands and styles but with an occasional modern option available, you need to hit this store at least a couple of times each month. CLASSIC ATTIC gets many consignments from some of the best homes in Charlotte, it’s shopped by many local designers and decorators, and their inventory turns over quickly. It’s either sold or moved out in 90 days, and everything over 60 days is marked down 20%.

As you know, consignment is not regular retail ~ there are almost never duplicate items. If you see a piece you want, get it. It likely won’t be there when you go back.

Good news though.  At CLASSIC ATTIC, you can take home on 24 hour approval to see how your find(s) work in your house. Or put on 24 Hour hold, while you get your better half, mom, decorator or BFF to come in and give an opinion. That’ll be key, ’cause things do not stay on the floor long at CLASSIC ATTIC. There were probably 15 shoppers and consignors in and out while I was there last Thursday midday.

CLASSIC ATTIC carries case goods, upholstered furniture, dining tables and chairs, armoires, side tables, lamps, chandeliers, mirrors, artwork, accessories and, last but certainly not least, an extensive selection of designer drapery at consignment pricing.

It’s a big space, and there is a lot to look through.  Go with a hit list in mind, but be open to the Find Of The Day.

At the back of the store, past the “last chance” sale section, is the LINEN CLOSET at CLASSIC ATTIC. Here you will find pillows in designer fabrics, priced between $20 to $80 each.

You will find a rack of table cloths and linens, with some traditional, embroidered pieces for ridiculous prices.

And then you will see the designer drapery wall. With a handsome selection of full length curtain panels in luxe and brand name fabrics, some sewn with amazing detail. Toiles, silks, damasks, prints, linens, you name it. In 2 / 4 / 6 panels and more. Priced at around $100 per panel, depending on quality of work, amount & type of fabric, etc. Ready to be hung, or ready to be used to create shades, pillows or upholstery.  If you’ve ever paid for curtains, you know that getting a room done for less than $1000 is a crazy great deal.
