The newest boutique to open welcoming (and tempting!) doors in South Park is COPPER PENNY, bringing us popular contemporary designers in a spacious and chic Phillips Place location. Situated right next to Paper Source, Copper Penny is a long-time Charleston favorite, well known to many CLT girls who cannot wait to shop our very own Copper Penny store.
Designer collections—curated with a Southern eye—is how Copper Penny describes their vibe on their website. I stopped by to shop Tuesday, and I think that’s about right…..the fashions have a modern edge, but there are plenty of florals, fringes, feathers, color and feminine looks that make it pretty much perfect for Charlotte. Not too tart and not too sweet as they say.
And not too young and not too short I might add. Not too plastic and not too pricey. Owner Tracy Alexander clearly knows her market, and Copper Penny is going to be a hit.
