First things First. A Beautiful Master Bedroom for the new Bride & Groom.

Brides ~ The master bedroom is a refuge and should be treated as such. A place for relaxation, rejuvenation and re-connection. Creating this refuge is a matter of layering: linens, furniture and lighting. Keep the color pallet serene and gender neutral.

Sounds easy enough yet the execution of this can be a bit overwhelming. We consulted the professionals at BEDSIDE MANOR for a little guidance in establishing the perfect Master Bedroom.

LINENS

Step One: The Fitted & Top Sheet- Egyptian cotton is the most popular because it is practical, durable and only gets softer with age.Bedside Manor stocks sheets in all sizes and colors.

Step Two: Blanket or Coverlet- obviously this is season specific. There are so many choices from light weight cotton, silk to hypo allergenic.

Step Three: Duvet- down comforters are an investment in luxury, but well worth it. All down is not created equal, so allow the staff at Bedside Manor to educate you.

Step Four: All Those Pillows- choose a pillow type that best suits your sleeping style (side, stomach, back).Once the insert is chosen a pillow case is needed which can be sold with a sheet set and sold separately for additional pillows. As your handsome husband gazes at the bed and says, “Why do we need all of these pillows?” You can say ” for symmetry and comfort, my love”.The method to the madness goes a little like this:

Queen size bed = 2 Euro Shams and 4 Standards with some sort of decorative pillows to match.
King size bed = 3 Euros 4 Kings and decorative pillows to match

FURNITURE

A proper bed (King or Queen), a nightstand on each side (his & hers) and a large chest of drawers to share. If the room allows, a comfortable chair for reading is a nice addition as well.

LIGHTING

A lamp on each side table is a must (again, his & hers). They don’t have to match but they should be the same size.
