Cotswold is a neighborhood of Old Charlotte known for warmth and welcome. Mature, shady trees and larger lots make Cotswold feel as cozy as it sounds. Attractive for its inner-city convenience, mere minutes from Uptown, it still preserves safe, sleepy streets. The neighborhood began to be constructed in the 1950’s. Since then, it has been scattered with newer construction and a number of expert tear-downs, masterful renovations and luxurious re-builds.

This 4 bedroom/3 bathroom (plus 1 partial) cottage is a house for all seasons. You can just as easily picture those grey stones keeping you cool and rested in the shade of summer, and purring contentedly by the gas fire in the dead of winter (thanks, insulated windows!). You can imagine that garden lit up with vibrant azaleas and English roses against the cool neutral backdrop of the house, filling the fenced-in backyard with rich color.
It is the special kind of house that would never cease to feel homey, no matter how restless the weather might make you feel.
You can take the virtual tour here for more. If you like what you see, don’t sit on it; our friends at COTTINGHAM CHALK HAYES tell us they have seen a ridiculously busy spring so far. Contact Agent Win Register (704-651-5683) for more information.

Natural light streams in through the large windows on all sides. The gourmet kitchen contains a walk-in pantry and plenty of storage.
The open floor plan of the kitchen and Great Room provides a nice modern contrast to the quaint English design of the home.

Upstairs, a lovely open lounge room with clean lines and a spacious feel.
There are 4 bedrooms. The large master bedroom contains a must-have master bathroom and walk-in closet.

It seems funny to call a home this spacious a “cottage”, but the name fits it with its undeniable English charm. Looking out to the rear yard, the stone patio with firepit and built-in grill further emphasize the feeling that this home would be a haven in Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter.

Bonfires in November and backyard barbecues in July. A house fit for a true Charlottean.
