Healthy, creative, & spooky Halloween snacks for children

On Halloween, children have one thing and one thing only on their minds.

Candy.

While it might seem pointless to feed your child anything on Halloween that isn’t completely made of sugar, your kids will love these fun snacks and won’t even question the fact that they are on the healthier side.

I recommend allowing the kids to make these treats with you in the kitchen.  It is not only a fun festive activity, but it is also a great way to get them excited about eating some healthier foods!

Jack O’Lantern Orange Fruit Cups

Your little one will love these as a lunchbox snack on Halloween.

Healthy Halloween Candy Corn Popsicles

While these popsicles still contain a bit of sugar, I like that you can control how much is used, and you can even substitute with more natural forms such as honey.

Halloween Popcorn Balls

These make great party favors, and they are a much healthier alternative to sugary kettle corn.

Mummy Granola Bars

The recipe used to make these granola bars is delicious, but you can actually use any granola recipe you’d like!

Jack O’Lantern Fruit Plate

This is such a creative way to serve up fruit.  Maybe all of that fiber will leave the children too full for candy!  Just maybe.

Frozen Boo-nana Pops

These spooky pops are a yummy lower calorie treat, and you could probably even substitute the white chocolate for Greek yogurt if you’re concerned about the sugar content.

Peanut Butter Pumpkins

Protein packed peanut butter pumpkins are the perfect way to fuel any child for an evening of trick-or-treating.

Spookamole with Ghost Chips

A clever spin on traditional chips and guacamole and a delicious party appetizer!
