Summer, summer, summertime
Time to sit back and unwind.
Summer means a lot of wonderful things, but surely nothing so wonderful as not having to get kids up early and off to school. Well, also enjoying lazy, no-homework dinners on the patio. And day drinking on vacation and blender cocktails. Yes, there’s a theme here. Summer is the season to break the routine ~ it’s a legacy we all carry from years of school’s out internal celebrations, no matter how old we are. Who says Happy Hour at My House is only for Fridays? It’s SUMMATIME.
This summer, we’re going fancy chez moi, and cocktailing it instead of white wine & beer, so my gain is your gain, literally and figuratively, since tasty cocktails pack way more calories than prosecco on ice. But, it’s summer, right? Since I’m digging around the web anyway, we thought you might like a daily inspiration on summer cocktails to make at home. So we’ll start off each month this summer with a Drinks recipe share for every day. Pick the ones you’d like to try at home and tag us when you post your concoctions on IG. #scoopCLT and #scoopSUMMER. There will be prizes.

When I do my lemonade stand for grown ups this summer on Sterling Road, we’ll be pouring one of these.
Summer IS sangria time. Load up the pitcher with fruit and what have you from the garden. Not grass clippings though.
Yes, iced tea is a hot southern summer tradition. Try one of these for a real mid-day pick me up 🙂
