Ok, so when I called back to make sure the sale was still in play, the salesperson didn’t really think this was a Mega Sale at all.  She didn’t think anything was discounted below 65%, nor did she seem particularly enthused about the amount of inventory.  Polite but bemused, in that way only a salewoman at a very upscale store can be.  So, who knows.  Perhaps it was good that the weather didn’t permit the drive the last two weekends.  Hope you didn’t make a disappointing trip!

Instores and online, see here.  GAP’s 25% off is online only and ends Sunday 2/7, the ad is here.  And Macy’s WEAR RED sale, a cute idea, will get you an extra 20% off sale & clearance items thru Sunday when you wear red to shop Macy’s.  Despite the fact that red IS my color, this sale won’t get me in….the list of exclusions is long and covers anything I would buy.  Macy’s, Belk….why bother?  Think of the merch you could move if you had fewer sales events, but actually put things we want to BUY on sale?!?!

Pretty sure they’re closing & they’re running a major discount sale over the next 96 hours - 70% off reg merch plus an extra 40% off sale.  The main problem, other than whether you can rely on a closing online retailer to ship, is that you can’t even get on their site to check things out.  But maybe things will get better Sunday or Monday.  It’s worth checking. Here’s the flyer emailed for the January Monthly Sale at the JCrew Clearance Center right outside Asheville in Alden NC. While this store does hold HUGE Warehouse Sales twice a year (likely Aug & Dec).  They also hold monthly Sidewalk Sales, which are about 1/4 the size of the Warehouse Blowouts.  I don’t think it’s hard to find - call the center for directions (828)-687-6475 and watch out for the “the wintry mix.”
