The casting crew for The Good Life, a new reality TV show about girls who love to splurge,  will be at SLOAN on Tuesday, Jan 26th from 1-4 pm. The Good Life girls are looking for you to apply online before you go, so if you are interested, go to their Web site and fill out the application. Also in the FOOTLIGHTS:   Charlotte Living Magazine and Sloan are looking for the next prom supermodel to be featured in their 2010 Prom Fashion Spread in CLMag.  If you think you have the look (that is, you’re a female between 15-18, you or a family member is a customer of Sloan/STEP and you are photogenic) - then submit two photos including one face and full body shot by Monday, January 25 at 5pm by email to dan@stepbysloan.com. The lucky winner of the 2010 Prom Fashion Spread contest will receive a full spread in the next issue of Charlotte Living Magazine.  Winner will receive a $100 gift certificate to be used in Sloan/STEP. Photos will become the property of Charlotte Living Magazine.

Word from the blogs and Twitter is that Intermix is closing its SouthPark store.  No details yet on when, but since they do a big business in NY, LA,  online, I’m not thinking there’ll be a “going-out-of-business” sale.  I love this store’s fashion-forward take on the basics and there were always one or two pieces I wanted.  But, definitely a store with a mistaken identity, almost a misshapen identity!  Sorry, but not surprised, to see them go.  Shop them online.
