Swoozie’s filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy protection recently and the blog-o-spere thinks they may be closing.  According to the blogs here and here, the owner sent the following out in an email:  ”I am now facing the somber reality that Swoozie’s is swiftly approaching a path to complete liquidation barring some unforeseen miracle at the auction which is scheduled for Thursday, March 25,” she writes.  (She being Kelly Plank-Dworkin, Swoozie’s founder - along with her late husband.  No update on what happened at the auction).  The franchisees of the company have opened a Facebook page to ask us to email the company and ask them to stay open.  It is looking like another company will buy them - hope the Charlotte stores stay open.  The y would definitely be missed by moi!
