If you follow me, you know that I am a mom of two little ones and I tend to pull a “Mom Code” at least once a week. You may now be asking, ‘what the heck is a Mom Code?’ A “Mom Code” is when I throw on some yoga clothes, a pair of sunglasses, and my favorite red lip and I just roll with it. For some reason, the red lip makes me feel as though I have it together and I’m ready to take on the day. My favorite go-to red lip color is Chanel Glossimer in Spark. I think it was my first red crush when I started working in the beauty world many years ago and it has been my solid go-to ever since. If you are not a red girl and you’re thinking you could never go that bold, just give it a try. Everyone can pull off red. When picking the perfect red you can pretty much go for anything you feel comfortable in. If you have warm undertones in your complexion, look for a red lip with yellow or orange as the base. And if you have cool undertones try reds with a blue or pink base. Remember when you head to the makeup counter you can really only try two to three lip colors before your natural lip has soaked in some of the pigment, changing the natural color of your lips.
