Ideas for Quick & Easy Entertaining with Pour Olive

We reached out to Sophie, owner of  POUR OLIVE  for a few quick and easy ideas on hors d’oeuvres, sides and wow-factor extras that can take you from ho-hum cook to someone with major kitchen-cred. The difference is in the drizzle.

~Rosemary and Garlic Almonds: This one takes no time at all! Take a pound of raw almonds and toss them in a couple of tablespoons of our Garlic Olive Oil then roast for 20 minutes at 400. Once roasted, lay them in a dish and sprinkle some fresh rosemary and sea salt. Crunchy, salty and easy!
~Fancy and Flavorful Soft Cheese Dish: Warm up a soft cheese, such as brie, for a few minutes in the oven. Once out, drizzle with a generous amount of our Fig Balsamic Vinegar or another dark and subtle flavor!
~Jazz up a Grain Salad:  Just take your favorite pairing for a vinaigrette from Pour Olive use it in your grain salad. For instance Red Apple Balsamic and Roasted Almond oil is amazing tossed in quinoa along with some slivered almonds. Or whip up a little wild rice with some of our Pineapple White Balsamic and Mandarin Fused Olive Oil tossed in wild rice along with some blueberries and pomegranate arils.
~Glazed Portabella Caps: You can cut these up and stick toothpicks in them-that’s how good they come out! Take some Portabellas, slice up, sautee in your favorite Pour Olive Oil. Once most of the liquid has evaporated, deglaze with Pour Olive Pomegranate Balsamic.
~Mushroom up your Meat: Whether your making burger patties or grilling a nice piece of steak, be sure to finish with Pour Olive’s Mushroom and Sage Olive Oil. Those flavors marry so beautifully together!
~Popcorn and a Movie: Snuggling up with Elf or Christmas Vacation this season? Don’t forget to pop your popcorn in Pour Olive’s Butter Infused Olive Oil! It’s just the ticket and heart healthy at the same time.
~Shrubs: Last Christmas I had a bun in the oven so I wasn’t able to partake. However, I never felt left out with a bottle of sparking water and Pour Olive’s Cranberry Pear White Balsamic Vinegar. Just a tablespoon or 2 will do ya.
~Easy as Ice-Cream: A customer once gave this idea to me. Take premium vanilla ice-cream, drizzle a tablespoon or 2 of either Pour Olive Dark Chocolate Balsamic or Espresso Balsamic over top. Sprinkle a few fresh coffee grounds atop for texture (decaf if necessary) and then finish with a shot of Scotch.
Don’t be afraid to substitute and play around with flavors as needed. 🙂
From POUR OLIVE to you, we hope this season is easy going and full of love and peace!
