Super Bowl XLVII Manicure Ideas.
By Kisten Hunter (Polish Pauper.com)
I enjoy football just as much as the next person, but I am not one to wear a jersey to show my team spirit. Still, I may want to show support for a team for the game, and that’s where my Super Bowl team color manicures come in. The San Francisco 49ers and the Baltimore Ravens provide great colors to work with = scarlet / gold and purple / black, respectively. Use any of these colors alone or in a combination for a fun way to show who you are pulling for next Sunday. Even if you pick based on the colors alone! You can go classy or funky, one color or two, anything goes, just have fun.
The Baltimore Ravens mani was done with Zoya Raven for the black, which was a total coincidence! Raven is very pigmented with a very subtle shimmer. The purple is OPI Can’t Let Go in their new liquid sand finish from the Mariah Carey collection. Just freehand the diagonal sweep, it does not have to be perfect. The purple dries matte, yet sparkly, so don’t use a top coat if you like the look above.
The San Francisco 49ers mani was done using Dr.’s Remedy Brick for the base, a super shiny deep scarlet red. The funky french was done with Zoya Ziv, a sparkly warm gold. I freehanded the french tip, but they do make guides that you can use or a neat little trick is to use paper circle reinforcers.
Here are some other colors that will work for your team spirit.
From left to right: Layla Soft Touch Effect 12, Zoya Storm, CND Oilslick, Sally Hansen Black Diamond
From left to right: Butter London Marrow, a-england Lady of the Lake, Zoya Suri and Sally Hansen Loves Me Not.
From left to right: Dr.’s Remedy Ruby Red, Zoya Colbie, BB Couture Napa Valley Red, Illamasqua Scarab
From left to right: Dr.’s Remedy Glee, L’oreal Amazon’s Flash, Spa Ritual Solstice, Revlon Golden
So there you have it a fun and easy way to show your team spirit! Go 49ers, but I will be sporting the Ravens mani because I like it better!
