Scene: This Cotswold area restaurant is the perfect neighborhood eatery. Southern and sophisticated, it’s a great girls’ night option for craft cocktails at the sprawling bar or a family dinner on the rustic-chic patio. It’s also a great meeting place for lunching, really, Leroy Fox fosters a laid back environment for any occasion.
Offerings: They may be known for their “Foxing Fried Chicken” but Leroy’s has a number of other Southern comfort dishes like Shrimp and Grits, bourbon glazed Pork Chop, and Salmon Filet. The sides range from country cooking classics like green bean casserole, mashed potatoes and mac & cheese to favorites like shoestring fries and pasta salad. For lighter fare, there’s a handful of gourmet salads, such as the Grilled Salmon or the BBQ Chicken Chopped Peach, as well as tempting appetizers like house made Pimento Cheese, Shrimp Cocktail with house made remoulade, C.A.B. beef sliders and more.
Sips: In addition to a substantial wine/beer selection, mixologist Leroy Fox gets crafty with his aptly named, “Foxtails”. You’ll have a hard time choosing from patio friendly refreshers like Leroy’s Lemonade, Peach Tea and House Made Sangria and more sophisticated sips like the “Hotel Charlotte” classic martini, “Fox in the City” Manhattan and the “King of Foxes” Old Fashioned.
