It’s never too early to shop for swim. On your Must See List? Tara Grinna in The Village at SouthPark.
Planning a winter vacation to a tropical place or heading to a hot spot for spring break this year? Bringing the RESORT back into resort season? You need to check out Tara Grinna in The Village at SouthPark. This is one of the best swimsuit stores in Charlotte – and certainly one of the best spots you have not yet shopped. Tara Grinna has been designing swimwear for over 25 years, and her suits have been featured on Oprah, ABC News and even Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit edition. I’m guessing we are lucky enough to have one of her retail stores in SouthPark cause the suits are designed and manufactured nearby in Conway, South Carolina. (Not just made in the USA, made in the Carolinas!).
The first things you notice when you walk in Tara Grinna at The Village at SouthPark are 1) the huge selection and 2) the bright, chic South Beach vibe. This is swim heaven, and not just for the perfectly proportioned size 2′s among us. While the gorgeous prints and vibrant colors might grab the headlines, Tara Grinna has the ability to fit and compliment almost any figure type with many suit silhouettes in a wide range of sizes. They specialize in fitting large cup sizes as well as challenging figures. My favorite part? Aside from the Swarovski bikini that greets you at the entry? In the back, there is a line up of every possible suit style, fit, silhouette in basic black. You try these on to get your most flattering option(s) without being distracted by color, print or embellishment. THEN you go thru Tara Grinna’s line up of Italian fabrics and add-ons and “custom design” your perfect suit. So just in case you can’t find a suit you love in the hundreds lining the walls of the shop, you can surely “design” your one & only.
There is a huge selection of bikinis, tankinis and one-pieces. Along with matching coverups, pareos, wraps and tons of cute & stylish sun hats. Sandals, flips, sunnies and a bit of poolside bling round it our for really what is – or should be – your one stop swim shop.
