Beauty Finds from Rachel Sutherland

April 7, 2010

So, I’m getting to know some of Charlotte’s Most Stylish these days and Rachel Sutherland, who used to be the editor of the Observer’s Style section, is definitely one of them.  I recently asked Rachel, who strikes me as something of a Product JUNKIE, oh wait, I mean aficionado, for her best bets in Beauty. Here’s what she is loving these days:
John Frieda Sheer Blonde Luminous Color Glaze (honey to caramel): Rachel says this product has saved her tresses numerous times in between salon appointments,  by instantly kicking up the color and shine.
Susan Posnick Coloressential Lip Color in NYC. You can read all about Rachel’s obsession with this fab lip color at her blog here.  I use this product/color myself and must admit, it rocks.
Chloe fragrance — It’s so sweet and so girly, but not cloying.
Sephora by OPI nail color in Metro Chic – Often mistaken for Chanel’s Particulière (even by me, scoopcharlotte, arbiter of all things trendy in nails) without the hard-to-swallow pricetag or waiting list.
L’Oreal Extra Volume Collagen mascara – Rachel said “My fixation with finding mascara that gives me big fat lashes borders on freakish, but I don’t care. This product helped me kick my unnatural devotion to Diorshow mascara.”  Yes, made by the same parent company as Lancome as well as several others, this mascara is a find.

Do check out Rachel’s website and blog, I know you’ll enjoy her fashion and style savvy.  Particularly her recent post about her visit to the infamous JCrew Warehouse in Asheville.
