The Jewelry Artists of Charlotte - Going, going, gone?

January 21, 2010

olivia-necklace_meredith-jacksonDon’t Miss The Last Week of This Great Jewelry Show.  This is no mere POP UP shop.  This is not your artsy, craft-y, booth at the fair, next-to-the-turned-wood festival type jewelry.  When I finally dragged my sorry self out to visit the Jewelry Artists of Charlotte store, I was amazed.

First off, it’s huge.  It occupies the old Lions Jewelers store near ICLondon in Ballantyne Village.  The pieces are professionally set up in jewerly display cases, with great lighting, mirrors, everything you’d expect.  Somehow the words POP UP SHOP and Artisan had me thinking of something much smaller and less polished.  Wrong.

There are gemstones, semi-precious stones, agates, gold-plate, vermeil, sterling, bronze, polished stones, rough cut stones, faceted stones, pressed metals, metalurgy, wiring, beading, you name it. From diva designs and statement necklaces to the most delicate and subtle pieces.

tri-circle-necklace_karen-smithDefinitely something perfect for a Valentine’s gift for your teen, your tween, your daughter, your granddaughter.  Or a Mother’s Day gift for your mother, your mothers-in-law or your daughters-in-law.  And don’t forget your brides, your bridesmaids and your graduates.  But most of all, something perfect for you, I promise.

There are more pics and links to many of the jewelers’ websites on the next page, here. The Jewelry Artists store is located 14825 John J. Delaney Drive, Suite 120 in Ballantyne Village and is open Mon-Sat 10a – 6p thru Feb 27.
